Aneta Bozic is an artist who is guided more by the themes she explores (death, relationships and beliefs) than the materials used. The overarching concept of her work is about challenging and deconstructing how we view the world. Inspired mostly by nature, she collects and uses found, borrowed and dug up objects such as dolls, wire, feathers, seed pods and bones.

Her philosophy is grounded in the aesthetic appreciation of things that are most often overlooked, discarded or rejected. Whilst there is a sense of the macabre, there is also a sensitivity and abstraction in the way these objects are presented.

Through the treatment, isolation, pairing and cropping of objects, she explores the meanings and relationships we project onto them, questioning our preconceived ideas of what they are meant to be.
